An hour of your time to learn something new

The practice of long blog posts might have been replaced by shorter tweets, but judging by the amount of books and magazines being published in the web design world there is still a hunger for writing long form.

Five Simple Steps recently added a series of small pocket guides to the mix. Each little ebook covers a subject related to web design and takes about an hour to read.

Over the weekend I read two: Creating symbol fonts by Brian Suda and Psychology for designers by Joe Leech. Each book gives a good introduction of the subject with plenty of links and suggestions where to go to find out more.

For the price of a coffee and and an hour of your time they’re good value.
