The changing landscape of train journeys
For a while now, once a week, I have been part of the morning commute to work. A twenty minute train journey. I quite enjoy it, but only because it's once a week.
The thing that struck me the first time was how the reading landscape of my fellow commuters had changed. Gone are the days where you could see people read a variety of newspapers - some in handy tabloid format, others unwieldy broadsheets (remember those?).
The only paper newspaper you see now is The Metro. Anybody not reading that will most likely be reading or playing something on an electronic device. And I am no different. Normally l would be reading on my Kindle, today I am writing this on my phone.
