A night out with other web folk. Always nice to listen to shop talk after a day on the shop floor. Yes, seriously. MK Geek Night is a free event in Milton Keynes where a handful of speakers talk about web related things. Even comes with free pizza. What’s not to love?

The line-up is a mix between seasoned hands and budding first timers. Last night talks were varied with Keir Whitaker taking on Google Page Speed, Al Power giving some useful photography advice, Martin Beeby thanking us all for supporting IE, Craig Lockwood reminding us of the value of conferences and Simon Collison admitting to having no idea what he’s doing, but loving it anyway.

Last night was my first Geek Night and I am impressed.
