Game consoles: the outsider in the room
Last bit of takeaway from Responsive Day Out. Anna Debenham spoke about designing for game consoles. A game console is not my preferred weapon of choice when browsing the web (I don’t own one - that’s why), but plenty of children and teenagers do.
Anna gave a thorough overview of all the different types of consoles and the pitfalls they bring to the humble website. Some of these things come with two screens and display websites across both of them. And all are a nightmare when it comes to typing. My favourite involves aiming a laser beam at the letter you want.
